David Ibarra

David Ibarra is a well-known leadership consultant and entrepreneur. As founder of eLeaderTech and IBG, Inc., Ibarra recognized the great need for a system to bridge the management gap between "Planning" and "Execution." To accomplish this goal, Ibarra developed a program that could measure, track and ultimately improve human performance by Executing the Standards® of any given department or position. Over the course of development it became apparent that, in order to achieve maximum potential, the program had to be adapted to state-of-the-art technology. Ibarra guided the conversion of the product to an Internet-based software program geared toward the automotive industry and received a US patent in September 2000. He has two additional patents pending for automobile dealership software programs. Ibarra personally conducts most of the Executing the Standards® sales department training and installation, spending about sixty percent of his time providing on-site training in automobile dealerships across the US. David Ibarra's background spans highly successful careers in the hospitality and automotive industries. He was the General Manager of a large metropolitan automobile dealership for nearly 10 years and held many other leadership positions within the retail automotive industry. Ibarra served as Director of Training for the Western United States and District Manager of Operations for the Marriott Corporation prior to entering the automotive industry. He also owned and operated several successful restaurants in the Western United States. Active in community and government affairs, Ibarra was appointed in 1999 by President Clinton to serve on the prestigious US Air Force Academy Board of Visitors. He has also served on the Private Industry Council, the Central Region Council for the Utah Department of Workforce Services and the Utah New Vehicle Franchise Board. David Ibarra created the Ibarra Foundation in 2004 to invest in the future success of the Latino community by making a college education possible for well qualified students. Currently ten students are receiving full tuition scholarships from the Ibarra Foundation. In 2006 the Utah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce named David Ibarra Business Owner of the Year. Ibarra, an energetic public speaker, enjoys speaking to groups of children, young adults, and professionals about opportunity and hope. His various business activities are also his hobby. David is married and the father of two sons.
